Central Receiving

Some items require special handling before they are delivered to departments:

• Radioactive materials are delivered to Environmental Health & Safety for appropriate review before they are delivered to the ordering department.
• Controlled substances are delivered by Central Receiving to authorized departmental personnel only. Refer to the Purchasing web site, Ordering & Receiving Controlled Substances for specific details. See also UC Davis Policy & Procedure Manual Section 290-70.
• Tax-free ethyl alcohol is delivered to authorized departmental personnel only. Refer to UC Davis Policy & Procedure Manual Section 350-20 for more information.
